The Lantern Post is a peaceful oasis in the charming town of Lithopolis, Ohio. We are a one-stop-shop for the gifts of yester-year. Inventory changes daily, and we are continually staging each room to provide a unique and exciting visit each and every time you stop.

With a large herb garden and a calming pond in the back yard, the shop is located in a pre-1800 building that has continuously operated as a business since that time. Original sandstone stagecoach steps lead visitors into the shop.  The original timber framing is visible as are the original wooden floors and framed glass windows.

We offer consignment opportunities and space rental. Consignments are displayed with as much care and thought as one of our own pieces. Our rental space is a great opportunity to sell your treasures. Call today for more information!

Historic Lithopolis is located in Central Ohio in the NW Corner of Fairfield County.  Minutes off SR 33, we are midway beween Columbus and  Lancaster. Lithopolis gets its distinctive name from the Greek words "litho" and "polis" which, when translated together, mean "city of stone."  This unique name is attributed to the nearby quarry located in the ravine, which runs north of the Village, and where Lithopolis free stone was once quarried.
